The little theatre is Gateshead’s only theatre and was built during World War II. Dating back to 1943, the theatre has remained in constant use throughout the period to date. Over the years subsequent expansions have taken place to accommodate for the continuing success and growth of the business.
The main bulk of works consisted of building a rooftop extension on the existing theatre auditorium.
